Ever since I read the post on ore theft in an attack badger I've been keen to give it a go. So, yesterday after clone jumping to empire I grab my trusty typhoon and head on up to some old mining grounds I used to haunt. Fast forward 2 hours of getting indy + fittings (wth weird market), parked the phoon and headed out in my shiny new bestower. 20 mins can't find anything without huge escorts on scanner (10 man mining gang, no thank you), then up out of nowhere I see an cormorant mining all by his lonesome. Click approach and hit the burner, 300 or so m/s takes a while, then he locks me..... ok he must be getting ready just in case.....I see some missiles and gunfire aimed at the roid he's mining....ok he's showing me he could kill me (he thinks). 5km from him I see a missile hit me, BIG grin on my face as I watch him continue firing.....then poof, good ol' concord to the rescue! Had 3 miner I's in the can and a 125mm railgun, yay.
Move along another 20 mins, pick up an osprey mining my himself, no jetcan no nothing, odd. Check his bio, he's from the same corp that the cormorant pilot is from :P . He finally jets his can and I promptly scoop it up, boring pyro mah. A few mins go by and I see his buddy warp into the belt in a cyclone, crap time to go......slowly aligning...half shield.....warp, phew. Hop in the typhoon and wait outside station and scan the belt, cyclone has left but the osprey is still there. Said hell with it and warped in anyways hoping the cyclone guy would feel ballsy enough to come back in. Check scanner again in mid-warp.....oh crap, there's a machariel in he same belt. Now I'm praying I can get out of web range so I can burn away and not get owned by this hotness of a BS. Landed, oh crap I'm right on top of him the same guy who was in the cyclone (must've been less than a km). I'm feeling dead so I just go fot it, lock him, scram, web and start orbiting at 1km on burner. Heavy drones out, he launches his vespas, he gets a good hit right I hit the burner, sheesh there goes 1/4 shield, activate the launchers, not even a 10th off his shields. Activate the nos and send the heavies after the vespas, pop pop pop pop pop they all go, I'm down to armour repping on manual....
1 min later, still haven used the repper again, hes at 1/4 armour and falling fast, heavy drones are chewing him up and missiles just keep slamming him around, nos ensuring he can't shield boost, I'm stoked for getting this kill. Half structure, quarter, BOOM down he goes in a fiery blaze. Scoop the drones, aim for his can and scoop it as well.....

Killmail said he had a BCU II, Arbalest Seige launcher and a 20km scram. Pilot was from May 2005....you'd think he would know how to fit such an awesome BS, guess not.
Needless to say, this totally made my week! Gonna have to harass this corp a little more, see what else pops out! :P
